You are recommended to upgrade to this version as this release include 140+ General Bug Fixes, several low level security fixes and a full security audit of SQL queries plus SSL switchover support.
This release come with 3 type of packages:
1) Full Installation Package for new installation in Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable.
2) Patch Component Package to upgrade both of your Joomla! and JACLPlus from v1.0.10 or v1.0.11 to v1.0.12 at once.
3) Patch Files Package for those whom have permission errors to
upgrade both of their Joomla! and JACLPlus through patch component by manually upload and replace all the old files (you MUST HAVE installed
JACLPlus v1.0.10 in Joomla! 1.0.10 Stable or JACLPlus v1.0.11 in Joomla! 1.0.11 Stable).
Public Release will be available on or before 28th January 2007.

An user group that created by you can have multiple access levels (which can be added by you as well).
This will be more flexible, and
you can decide whether to allow a group of users to gain access into an item or not.
