Hi all,

We have checked the SMF-Mambo/Joomla Bridge (aka 3.20) for SMF 1.1 RC2 with JACLPlus. No patch is needed.

Wow! That's a amazing to hear, even CB RC2 isn't suited to using it with SMF bridge, even though there have been some hacks ofr it.

This is very good news. I am using Joomla! 1.0.5 with SMF Bridge 3.20.
I do have one concern before I run this install.
Will JACLPlus only modify the user permissions levels on the Joomla! site?
Will this intefere at all with the user groups set up in SMF?

My site uses the SMF bridge as the primary login for the site, forums and chat system and I do not want to lose these features with JACLPlus.

Thank you for settling what is likely just premature paranoia.

Hi Diante,

JACLPlus do not interfere SMF user groups nor Joomla! user groups as well. JACLPlus only add capabilities for users to add their own user groups and access levels in Joomla!. Of course, due to that we needed to modify some Joomla! core files to make it support these new user groups and access levels.
