Problem regarding DOCMAN 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi all,

I have nstalled JACL with Docman plugin (1.4.0 RC2) in Joomla 1.5.1. It installs right, but I have a problem when I try to use a category to apply to a document.

I can only assign categories which have been assigned to Joomla standard groups (such as registered, public and so), but I cannot access my own created groups under JACL.

It seems SDOCMAN is unable to use JACL-created groups, but that is not what the documentation reads.

Any help or experiences o this topic will be very much appreciated.

Thank you all in advance,

Same problem overhere, using J!1.0.15.

The JACL patch for DOCman 1.4RC2 patches 4 DOCman files (JACL uses dev 561).
However, due to several bugs the developer of DOCman had to fix a number of files, amongst others 3 of the 4 files JACL used for the patch.

Most recent release of DOCman 1.4RC2 is build 211: http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/docman/frs/.
The JACL patch does not work using build 211 of DOCman.

The patched files (JACL used dev 561):
DOCMAN_utils.class.php (most recent: dev 638)
DOCMAN_user.class.php (most recent: dev 631)
DOCMAN_tree.class.php (most recent: dev 561)
DOCMAN_html.class.php (most recent: dev 631)

See the trunk for detailed info about the changes from dev 561:
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/docman/scmsvn/?action=browse&path=docman/trunk/classes

Someone capable of making an update of the JACL patch using the info above? :_b_link__:

Regards

Gerlof

I'm using joomla 1.5.7 and docman 1.4.0 rc3. I have installed the docman patch, but I'm not able to assign the appropriate categories to my documents. If I install the patch mentioned in this thread, I get an error. Probably because I use a different version of docman. Could someone please help me?
