We have a membership site that has several levels of members. At present we are using 1shoppingcart.com for auto responders and payment. We have considered using aweber, as there are several plugins for joomla.

What we want is a way for members to register for our site and then once a payment is made, an access level assigned and them moved to the appropriate group. As well, we would like to integrate the monthly/annual sub_script_ion with some sort of automated expiration control like AEC.

Doe anyone have any pointers?

Hello, this is my first post also, and i having this question also in my mind, plus...

- is it compatible with forums ? which forum component ? right now i still use phpbb2 ? is it compatible

- the membership also has expiry date, is it possible to do ? or is it compatible in conjunction with other membership component ?

2008 : my new journey starts with joomla ...

still no response for me from ByOS technologies, but I have made some progress. I have found ways to limit access via the fireboard control, so it appears that we can make this work very easy.

The issue I have is in the entire Membership->sub_script_ion>levels do loop. If we use a community builder like Aweber, we seem to be limited on the shopping cart side. 1shoppingcart.com is amazing, but then we seem to lose the membership side and have to double enter member data.

AEC on the other hand does a great job with membership expiration, but it limits payments to single, or monthly. We have a rather large membership cost and most opt to pay it in 3 or 6 monthly payments, rather than stretch it out over a year, and yet it is an annual renewal.

So close on my side and there is no doubt that JACLPlus is a key missing element for joomla. So much so, one need to ask why access levels are not just built in.

That is all for now. If anyone else can offer any suggestions here, it would be greatly appreciated.

You can set up for payments by integrating joomla/jaclplus with amember.
