Maybe a bit vague this _title_, and I don't even know if it's possible, but I'll try to explain what I mean.
First of all, great component, after trying groupaccess, this is a lifesaver!
Situation: we are a company with several clients, who are all going to use Joomla as a sort of extranet. With this component we are now finally able to sort out the content so everyone will only see what they're supposed to see.
But the next step is that we want to give all our clients at least one accountmanager the right to publish in their own environment.
Only one problem... publishers on the frontend, when they use the submit news _link_, is also able to set the permissions and access levels. What happens is they can see the whole list with access levels, and therefore client a, client b, etcetera.
You don't want that. Apart from the fact that client-sensitive info could be on the street for another client (even possible rivals) due to a mistake, we don't even want to show the clients which other companies are involved.
So, is it possible somehow, to strip this thing off in the frontend. The most elegant solution (in my opinion) is to set the default access level to every access level the one who publishes it, has for himself. So no choice to set the access level, just set it default.
I don't even know if this sort of feature request is suitable for implementing in JACL, but oh well, maybe you can give some hints how this goal can be reached in another way.
Thanks a lot, an answer would be greatly appreciated. Just wanted to thank you again for this great component. Keep up the good work, I'll certainly use it so long as Joomla itself doesn't have a decent group/user/access-level management.
